Suggested quantities for your pool

Scaled from Pool Shark's recommended dose rates per 1,00,000 litres. Always test your water first — the actual requirement varies with bather load, sunlight, rainfall and your starting chemistry.

pH correction for your pool

Test your pH, find your current reading, and dose towards the ideal band of 7.2 – 7.6. Add one step at a time, never the full amount at once.

pH Up

pH Up

Raises low / acidic pH · about 1–1.2 kg per 1,00,000 L for each 0.2 step

Dose in steps, never in one go. Add one step, run the filter for 2–4 hours, then re-test before adding more. Never mix Supreme 90 (TCCA) with Hyper Shock (calcium hypochlorite) or with any acid — always add each product to the pool separately.

How we calculate. Volume = surface area × average depth, where average depth = (minimum depth + maximum depth) ÷ 2. Rectangular: A × B × depth. Circular: π × r² × depth. Oval: π × (A÷2) × (B÷2) × depth. Pools with sloping sides are reduced by 13% (× 0.87). Cubic feet convert at 28.3168 litres per ft³, cubic metres at 1,000 litres per m³.
